Girls Find Their Voice

Girls Find Their Voice is dedicated to showcasing the myriad forms
of expression that girls employ to articulate their beliefs, opinions,
emotions and creative perspectives for personal and social benefit.
The present challenge of promoting teen voices lands at a time when a confluence of social factors conspire to undermine the well-being of so many members of our teen generation.

Jean Twenge, Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University - a professional student of teen health - has concluded that "It’s not an exaggeration to describe iGen (Gen Z)  as being on the brink of the worst mental-health crisis in decades."  The mental health statistics tell a frightening tale especially for young girls.

Girls Find Their Voice is committed to modelling healthy forms of expression and creativity that girls employ to give voice to their opinions and claims for personal health and equal rights in every part of our 21st century society. In the process, we will examine a number of dangerous dimensions of our contemporary culture that create tangible risks for our young compatriots.
